Brand rejuvenation and visual identity program for the August 2011 reopening of Hayman Island, the famous Whitsunday Islands luxury resort. Following severe cyclone damage the resort management took the opportunity to refresh both the entire physical environment and the visual identity look and feel to ensure its place as Australia’s premier luxury private island brand. The creative direction was based
on a minimal and restrained expression of quality centred on the idea of ‘revealing moments of wonder’. This involved a tactile, intuitive and emotive approach to communicating special experiences available on the island, interpreted as ‘Hayman Moments’.
In close collaboration with architects and landscape designers, every aspect of the brand look and feel was refreshed - including promotional print and web design, in-room collateral, restaurant branding and wayfinding signage.
